Security has been increased at airports across Australia after authorities say they stopped a plot by terrorists to blow up a plane.
Police raided a number of homes in Sydney and arrested four men. Federal Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin says they also found evidence pertinent to the investigation, but didn’t give details.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says all of the country’s airports, domestic and international, have beefed up their security as a result of the terror plot.
Until further notice, travellers in Australia are advised to allow extra time for screening at airports, and to minimize their baggage.
