Donald Trump made a major military policy statement via Twitter on Wednesday. The U-S President is reinstating a ban on transgender individuals serving in the military saying he decided on the move after consulting with generals and military experts. He adds the military can’t be burdened with what he says are “the tremendous medical costs and disruption” that transgender members would entail. Military chiefs recently announced a delay on allowing transgender people from enlisting but transgender troops are already serving openly in the military after the Obama administration lifted the ban last year.
