A SPECIAL BAR DRINK IS ACTUALLY CODE FOR HELP

There’s a new drink order in many U.S. bars that’s actually a signal to get help for the woman placing the order.

If the female customer feels she’s in an uncomfortable or dangerous situation, she can order an “Angel Shot.”   It’s not actually a drink, but rather a signal to a bartender or waiter that she needs help.

Ordering an “Angel Shot” means she needs someone to escort her to her car.   Ordering an “Angel Shot with Lime” is a request to call the police.

The simple call-for-help method has been adopted by many bars in California as wll as across the U.S. and in other parts of the world.

It’s being applauded by women who say that on-line dates and blind dates can often lead to problems.
