When visitors come to Buckingham Palace this summer they’ll be treated to a special tribute to Princess Diana who died 20 years ago next month,
Every summer Queen Elizabeth opens state rooms at the palace for people to get a glimpse of life behind the scenes at England’s most famous residence.
For this year a special exhibition opened Saturday containing some of Princess Diana’s rarely seen personal belongings including photographs of her with her sons, William The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
William and Harry selected many of the objects to be displayed. One of them is her desk from her Kensington Palace sitting room where Diana answered correspondence and worked on her charitable projects.
There is also a box of her favourite cassette tapes including ones by Lionel Richie, George Michael and Elton John, as well as The Three Tenors, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.
Princess Diana died in a Paris car crash on August 31st, 1997.
