Here’s a tip…don’t call 911 to ask for KFC’s phone number. Police in southwestern Ontario have just released the list of the silliest 911 calls it received this year. One person actually called the emergency line looking for KFC’s number. Another woman called saying all her cable TV shows were in French and that she was not. And in another…police had to go to a house to settle a heated dispute between two neighbours over the ownership of a jar of peanut butter. Other mentionable calls – a woman asking iF it was legal to trap squirrels in her back yard. The Chatham-Kent police service says it tries to educate citizens about the importance of calling police when they see crimes or suspicious activities, but on occasion, they say police get calls that don’t quite fit into those categories.
