Fresh off an epic high from a major jet aircraft sale to Delta Airlines, Bombardier President and CEO Alain Bellemare has turned his attention to Toronto and says there’s a recovery plan for the city to get its new streetcars.

Bellemare says he’s disappointed that Toronto’s 1.2 billion dollar contract with Bombardier for 200 new streetcars has been delayed. But he says the company recognizes the issue and is committed to fixing it.

The TTC has had an on-going battle with the Montreal-based transportation company over slow progress in getting the new streetcars built and on to the tracks.

Bombardier just recently announced that it has an order from Delta Airlines for 75 CS100 aircraft with options for an additional 50. It’s the largest order yet for the CSeries aircraft.
