An outbreak of listeria in the U-S could be connected with an outbreak in five Canadian provinces.

That`s according to Canada`s Public Health Agency that says it`s waiting for lab tests to confirm if the two outbreaks are related.

Here in Canada, three people have been hospitalized in Ontario, and four more in Quebec, Newfoundland, P-E-I and New Brunswick. Most of them are older female Zoomers.

In the U-S, one death and the hospitalization of 12 people have been linked to packaged salads from a Dole plant in Ohio.

Dole has now taken their packaged salads off store shelves in the U-S, as well as in Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
