The doors are open again, and there is the sound of prayers and the ringing of bells at the Emanuel African Merhodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
A large crowd heard the Reverend Norvel Goff say that opening the doors so soon after Wednesday’s tragedy that saw nine members of the church shot to death “sends a message to every demon in hell and on Earth,”
Members say it shows that the welcoming spirit of the congregation of the historic church known as “Mother Emanuel” is still alive.
