They just wanted better lives, but now it’s feared that hundreds of people have died when a migrant ship capsized and sank in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Italian Coast Guard says just 28 people have been rescued from the 28-foot fishing boat which is believed to have been carrying close to 700 people.
It was on a voyage from Libya to Italy when it went down Saturday night.
More than 900 people have died this year in similar circumstances while attempting to cross from North Africa to Europe.
