The “Captain America“ chopper alegedly ridden by Peter Fonda in the 1969 motion Picture “Easy Rider” has been sold at auction for 1.35 million dollars U-S.

The buyer’s identity was not revealed by the Profiles in History auction house.

An auction house spokesperson says bidding at the Saturday night sale was fierce.

There was more than one version of the special Harley-Davidson chopper made for the movie, but the auction house catalogue says the one that was sold is the only one that survived.

A Texas man says he owns the one that was in the movie and that it was authenticated by Dan Haggerty, the Grizzley Adans actor who had a bit part in Èasy Rider`.

Haggerty says he restored and authenticated two `Captain America`choppers, and the one sold at auction was the real, surviving one.
