A man with a fever and flu-like symptoms who recently visited the west-African country of Nigeria, is now in isolation in a Brampton hospital.

Brampton Civic Hospital has instituted heightened infection control features because Nigeria has been hit with an outbreak of the Ebola virus. 

Dr. Eileen de Villa says this is a purely precautionary step because of the patient’s travel history, and stresses that no diagnosis has been made.
