CANADIANS CAN PAY THEIR RESPECTS TO FLAHERTY FAMILY VIA WEBSITE

Condolences over the death of former Finance Minister Jim Flaherty can be sent online.

The federal government says Canadians can go online to its state funerals and national commemorations website at www.commemorations.gc.ca and post a sympathy message.  The messages will be printed and sent to Mr. Flaherty’s family,

 Mr. Flaherty died on Thursday at the age of 64 of a suspected heart attack.

A state funeral will be held on Wednesday in Toronto.
