When Super Bowl 48 kicks of on Sunday, February 2nd, it’s almost certain to be at least chilly in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The big game is usually held in a city with warmer winter weather or a domed stadium.
But this year’s game is on New York’s doorstep, and the Big Apple is promising to heat it up.
Broadway hits “Rock of Ages” and “Jersey Boys” will be staging outdoor performances, and there’s a special discount ticket deal for shows on the Great White Way.
There will be special performances by the Rockettes and The Boys Choir of Harlem, and the famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem has special concerts planned.
The city is renaming part of Broadway Super Bowl Boulveard, and closing it to traffic for a concert venue, theme park and merchandise shop.
