He admits he earned 1.3 million dollars in public speaking fees between 2006 and 2009, but Justin Trudeau says he’ll compensate organizations that paid him to speak.
The federal Liberal Leader has been criticized for not paying back a 20-thousand dollar fee he was paid by a charity in New Brunswick last year when the organization announced it lost money on the fundraising event.
Appearing on CTV’s Question Period, Trudeau said he will speak with each of the groups that paid him a fee and work out a way to compensate them: either by giving back the money, or in other ways such as speaking for free at one of their future fundraisers.
