Turbans will be allowed on the heads of Quebec soccer players.
The Quebec Soccer Federation Saturday lifted its ban on turbans and other Sikh headwear.
The announcement folowed Friday’s clarification by FIFA, soccer’s world governing body, that turbans are perfectly acceptable, at least for now.
Announcing the lifting of the ban, Brigitte Frot, Quebec Soccer Federation’s Executive Director, says they’re pleased FIFA has cleared up some of the ambiguities about rules regarding headwear.
