Canada’s Zoomer astronaut Chris Hadfield may soon surpass Stephen Harper in the Twittersphere.
When Hadfield blasted into space in December he had only 20-thousand followers on Twitter.
But since arriving at the International Space Station, the 53-year-old astronaut who grew up in Milton, Ontario, has tweeted daily and now has more than 250-thousand followers.
Entering the weekend, the prime minister had more than 290-thousand, but most of the messages sent from his account have been written by staff.
Amiko Kauderer, a NASA official in charge of social media, says Hadfield and other astronauts do their own tweeting.
