Coming up this Saturday at 1pm on Finding Your Bliss, Life Coach and Bliss Expert Judy Librach is joined by author Sharon Neiss-Arbess, to talk about her fabulous new book The Most Amazing Department Store

Sharon Neiss Arbess began her writing career working as a copywriter. After having children, she left the advertising world and began to write at her local coffee shop where she wrote her debut novel Me and My So-Called Friends. Sharon’s love for writing YA continued with her second book Get Up, which contains a collection of meaningful short stories, functional exercises, and inspirational quotes from mentors.

Sharon has written for several online magazines and has been featured in The Toronto Star. She also writes blogs on her website about super cool people, insanely easy recipes, and what she thinks the world should know.

Sharon’s daughter and her friend discovered that their great-grandmothers worked together at Simpson’s department Store in Montreal in the 1950s. An image that Sharon could not get out of her mind, which led her to write The Most Amazing Department Store

When Sharon isn’t tip-tapping away on her laptop, she loves to spend time with people that matter. Married to Gordie Arbess since 1996, they created three wonderful human beings Josh, Adam, and Liv. They all live in Toronto.

Also on the program, we have bonus content from last week’s interview with legendary fashion journalist and Editor-in-Chief of FASHION Magazine, Bernadette Morra!

Bernadette Morra has been covering the Canadian and international fashion scenes for more than 30 years. Over her long career, Bernadette has interviewed many fashion world legends including Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Gianni Versace.

Bernadette began her career in fashion journalism in the ‘80s as a freelance writer for The Canadian Press, The Toronto Star and Flare magazine. She joined The Toronto Star in 1988 as a fashion writer and was fashion editor from 1993 to 2008. Bernadette left The Star to create a website for jewelry lovers, which she ran for one year before joining FASHION magazine in 2009 as editor-in-chief. She remained there until 2016 when she left to become a freelance contributor to the Globe and Mail and several other Canadian magazines.

She returned to FASHION magazine as Editor-in-Chief in August of 2019 and in 2020, led the transformation of FASHION from a traditional women’s magazine to a brand for all ages, genders, ethnicities, sizes and orientations.
