This big, lovable pup is bursting with energy and ready to shower you with kisses. Meet 1-year-old Siberian Husky mix, Fort!
If there’s just one thing you need to know about Fort, it’s that he can complete with the energizer bunny. He loves to run, play, play catch, and then run some more. He loves toys and can get caught up paying for hours on end with his favourites -which is great because mental stimulation for high energy dogs is key! He’s a smart boy and enjoying spending time with puzzles.
But once he’s tired out, he’s a total cutie that loves northing more than cuddling up with the people he loves and enjoying a few treats. His hilarious Husky personality will have you laughing non-stop, that’s a promise!
As a young pup, Fort would benefit some having a structured routine with a bit of training to show him the ropes of how to be a good boy. He’s a great listener and loves food so he’s willing to learn a few tricks if the treats are right! With a bit of training support, we’ve already seen a great improvement on his leash manners.
You may have noticed that Fort is missing his tail. He had a fracture in his tail and successful underwent an amputation surgery. He’s a true testament to the resilience and unconditional loves that dogs offer.
Fort plays well with other dogs and would be happy to share his forever home with a canine companion. He’s always happy to meet new friends – human or dog! Because he has tons of puppy energy, he would benefit from having a home with a fenced in backyard that would allow him to run around to let out his puppy energy. Alternatively, taking Fort for walks multiple times a day would also work.
This handsome goofball is loved by all of the staff at Toronto Humane Society. He deserves to have a forever home with a family that will shower him in love, treats, and tons of outdoor playtime.
