Fans at Amy’s live shows not only revel in her powerful voice and ‘feel-good’ music, but everyone comes together to celebrate everyday life, it’s losses and victories.

A prolific and multi-talented artist, Amy has written for herself and for dozens of other international recording stars such as Anne Murray, Aaron Neville, Cliff Richard, Reba McEntire, Diana Ross, Belinda Carlisle, Heart, Melissa Manchester, Crystal Gayle, Jann Arden and Roch Voisine, just to name a few. She is the winner of three SOCAN awards, and an American Songwriting Award. Amy has also been nominated for three Juno Awards (Best New Artist and twice for Best Songwriter) and East Coast, West Coast, and Canadian Independent Music Awards.

In October 2021, Theatre Aqauriaus in Hamilton will present Amy Sky, Steven MacKinnon, Annabel Fitzsimmons, and a stellar cast in the first glimpse of their magical new musical, The Hereafter. The Hereafter follows Charlie, a young composer on the brink of her career breakthrough, as she struggles to move on after the loss of her husband.

2016 saw the release of two new CDs: “Twilight Rose” a collection of original Hebrew spiritual world music, and Liv On, a collaboration with Olivia Newton-John and Beth Nielsen Chapman of songs to support those seeking healing from loss.

Amy songs have appeared in many TV shows and movies including Degrassi Junior High-The Movie, Baywatch, The Firm, The Theme song for “Wild Card”, The Theme song for “Top Million Dollar Agent,” Dawson’s Creek, the movie “Score”, and Deepak Chopra’s “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success”. Amy lives in Toronto with her husband, singer–songwriter Marc Jordan.

MARC JORDAN

Also on the program is prolific and multi-talented Singer/Songwriter Marc Jordan. Marc who was born in Brooklyn NY, is the son of singer Charles Jordan and he grew up in Toronto Canada. In 1978, Marc was signed to Warner Music in Burbank California by Steely Dan Producer Gary Katz and signed as a staff writer for Irving Almo publishing, Geffen Publishing, and Warner Chappell Music in Hollywood.

Jordan still often writes with Rod Stewart, and is on the advisory board of Humber College Jazz dept. Also in November, Rod Stewart will release his new album ‘Tears of Hercules’ containing Marc’s composition as the title track.

Marc continues to tour himself and will be doing so with the Canadian writer’s group Lunch At Allens. Marc’s 15th solo album “Both n Sides”, an album of jazz and R&B standards recorded with orchestra, came out in 2019.

HE SANG SHE SANG

He Sang. She Sang, is the first duo album from Marc Jordan and Amy Sky. The new original material on this album (primarily from Sky) explores matters of the heart in insightful and compelling ways. All of the songs are given vibrant life here via performance in a duets format by two masterful vocalists. And Marc Jordan, is well-schooled in the jazz vocal tradition, is a virtuoso of phrasing, and he brings life to the lyrics in a subtly understated fashion. Amy Sky possesses a rich and mellow alto voice, and one brimming with emotional expressiveness. And on the album “He Sang, She Sang”, the pair trade lines effortlessly, and then bring those voices together in perfect harmony. The results are enchanting.

Add in the impeccable musical contributions of A-list session players in both Nashville and Toronto, and you get an album of wide and timeless appeal. This album will be released from Linus entertainment in early 2022.
