Is it really almost winter?  The calendar says it, some recent weather has hinted at it – and well, it’s been a tiring (and tiresome) year.

So ‘good riddance’ to 2020. But before we finish this year, let’s celebrate the winter season in song.  Despite the dark and cold, the snow and slush (and salt-stains) … there’s also the bright crisp sunny mornings and the hot-chocolate nights. And great music by artists like Tony Bennett, Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, and so many others.

I’m also giving birthday salutes to Canadian artists born during the rest of the month, before year’s end.  And our first hour’s feature – ‘This Week in Zoomer Music‘ has another varied line-up from Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.’s birthdays to first recordings by Fats Domino and The Beach Boys and farewells to three iconic artists: John Lennon, Sam Cooke and Otis Redding.

I hope you’ll tune in for this Sunday’s ‘Vintage Favourites’ between 1:00 and 4:30pm.  Cheers.
