”I have had enough with what’s going on in this city.”

The words of frustrated Toronto Police Association President Jon Reid after a third officer has been injured on the job this week.

This time an officer in his early 20s who was seriously stabbed in the leg and a suspect who was shot in the College-Lansdowne area earlier.

Both are in stable condition.

In two other separate instances, one officer suffered a broken leg while the other was punched in the face.

And in that case, Reid points out the suspect was released the next day.

”We’ve been working very, very hard on bail for years now. But the government’s still not listening. We’re still having individuals released on bail going out committing criminal offences. Things have to change here,” adds Reid.

”The violence has to stop.”
