Zoomers of a certain vintage will remember him as the the co-founder and drummer for the English group The Moody Blues.
Graeme Edge has died.
The band’s front-man, Justin Hayward, confirmed Edge’s death on the group’s website. Hayward called Edge the backbone of the band, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Edge co-founded the group in Birmingham, England in 1964. He was a key contributor hit songs like “Nights in White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon” and “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band).”
Cause of death was not released.
Graeme Edge was 80.
