75-years ago today, the notorious Nazi death camp at Auschwitz in southern Poland was liberated.
Today, more than 200 elderly Holocaust survivors have gathered at the scene of one of the worst atrocities in modern history. Nearly 1,000,000 Jews were murdered in the gas chambers at Auschwitz.

There are now fewer than 2,000 Auschwitz survivors worldwide. A number, who survived and settled in Canada, are attending the memorial.
