Ottawa police are investigating an incident of vandalism on the office of newly re-elected Liberal M-P Catherine McKenna. Someone sprayed a sexist slur in red paint on the front of the building.

A visibly shaken McKenna told reporters, “I don’t even have words to describe what kind of person would do this.” McKenna has been subjected to online attacks before for her work on the climate change file. Ontario’s Premier has responded to the act of vandalism in a tweet, calling it disgusting adding there’s no place in Canada for hate like this. McKenna says Canadians need to discuss real issues without hate and anger.
