An exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing is on now at Toronto’s Aga Khan museum. The Moon: A Voyage Through Time features paintings, scientific objects and a moon rock to tell the story of the moon’s importance in many cultures.  Many Zoomers  remember the historic day July 20th 1969 – the first moon landing. But this exhibition offers much more. Art, science ,and spirituality – particularly in the muslim world – converge in this one-of-a-kind show. Visitors are drawing inspiration as they view the moon through a different lens and are encouraged to interact by either making a lunar calendar provided by NASA or print a poem on a typewriter, a throwback to the time of the first moon landing. But the show stopper is at the end of the tour. Suspended high above filling two floors is a giant 5 metre sculpture of the moon imprinted with images of the moon’s surface. The exhibition runs until August 18. For more information visit
