A private gift from Joni Mitchell will arrive in bookstores this fall. A new book with materials the singer-songwriter assembled in the early ’70s, signed to sent to 100 friends will be published in October. The 75-year old Mitchell is known for such classics as Big Yellow Taxi and Free Man in Paris. The book is called Morning Glory On the Vine; Early Songs and Drawings. 

A post on Mitchell’s official website reads: “In this faithfully reproduced facsimile edition, Joni’s best-loved lyrics and poems spill across the pages in her own elegant script. The book also features watercolour paintings depicting landscapes, portraits and abstracts and includes a new original introduction written by Joni herself.
