A newly available drug could boost the number of Canadians who administer their own medically assisted deaths.
Only a tiny percentage of Canadians who’ve received medical help in ending their lives has chosen to self-administer a lethal drug cocktail but that may change now that the drug most commonly used for assisted death in other countries has been approved here.
The drug Secobarbital is considered the best way for suffering individuals to control their own deaths as much as possible and that included administering the medication themselves.
