The double bassist, who held the Guiness world Record for 71 years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, has died after collapsing on stage during an encore performance of “There’s No Business Like Show Business.

Jane Little was born in Atlanta and became a founding member of the orchestra’s predecessor, the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra.  For years she was the Symphony’s only female musician.
