Christmas messages were released today from both Toronto Mayor John Tory and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. Speaking at City Hall, Tory said this is the time of year to reflect on how lucky we are to live in a city like Toronto. He also said the holidays are a time to come together and he asked that we be generous with our giving and keep an eye out for those in need. That was a sentiment also reflected in Wynne’s Christmas wishes. She urged Ontarians not to forget the less fortunate. She wants us to reach out to the lonely and suffering, especially at this time of year. Wynne has been named to CNN’s most influential women’s list. Wynne is cited for being the first female premier of Ontario, and the first openly gay head of government in Canada.
