“The show must go on.”

Unless it is in France and an audience member has their face covered with a veil.

A woman attending the opera in Paris didn’t get to see the whole show – because the actors refused to continue performing – unless the veiled woman sitting in the front row was removed from the theatre.

It happened last month when the woman was asked to leave the performance of La Traviata at the Opera Bastille – because they actors said they wouldn’t come back on stage during the second act – because they didn’t want to perform for ” a faceless member.”

The veiled woman was sitting with a male companion – and a security guard asked her to leave – or remove her veil.

The wearing of full-face veils in public has been banned in France since 2011.

A woman wearing a face veil in France in public can be fined up to 150 Euros – and made to attend citizenship classes.
