Paul Mazursky, the writer-director of such films as “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice” and “An Unmarried Woman,” has died. He was 84.
Mazursky’s spokeswoman Nancy Willen says the filmmaker died of pulmonary cardiac arrest Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Mazursky was nominated for several Academy Awards, including screenplay writing for “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice,” ”Harry and Tonto,“ ”An Unmarried Woman“ and ”Enemies, A Love Story.“ He also received a best picture nomination for ”An Unmarried Woman.“
His other films included “Down and Out In Beverly Hills” and “Moscow On The Hudson.” He also appeared on screen in such series as “The Sopranos,” ”Curb Your Enthusiasm“ and ”Once and Again.“
