Rob Ford was the centre of a commotion at the Air Canada Centre Saturday night. The Mayor showed up wearing a Maple Leafs Jersey for the game between the Leafs and Winnipeg Jets, and was surrounded by people wanting photos and shouting “four more years.”
But the Mayor was visibly upset when ACC security staff denied him entry to the exclusive Directors Lounge, where he had been welcomed in the past.
He was at the game with city budget chief, Councillor Frank Di Giorgio, who said he didn’t think the mayor was drinking, but witnesses say the mayor was warned by security staff to watch his behaviour.
