eBay says it’s sorry for letting Holocaust memorabilia  to be offered for sale.

The auction website apologized after the Mail On Sunday newspaper in Britain said that items from concentration camp prisoners were being sold on eBay by a Ukranian man who lives in Vancouver.

They included Star of David armbands, shoes, a suitcase, and striped pyjamas.

eBay says it doesn`t allow this type of material to be sold on its website, and says the items slipped by those responsible for monitoring merchandise on its pages.

eBay says it removed 30 items from the seller`s site, and has made a 40-thousand-dollar donation to a charity.
