British academic psychologist Cordelia Fine has made the short list for the lucrative Warwick Prize for Writing for her book on “neurosexism.”

The Toronto-born cognitive neuroscientist has been  announced as a finalist for the prize worth about $41,000 dollars  for her book “Delusions of Gender.” 

Fine is based at the University of  Melbourne in Australia.

She’s up against five other finalists for the international award, which is run by the University of Warwick and crosses all disciplines.

The winner  will be announced in London on September 24th.

Canadian author Naomi Klein was the inaugural winner  in 2009 for “The Shock Doctrine.”
