TANENBAUMS GIVE $35 MILLION TO LAUNCH MOUNT SINAI FUND DRIVE

It’s a generous $35 million dollar gift from Larry and Judy Tanenbaum – to help launch a fund raising drive in support of medical research at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Hospital Chair, Jay S. Hennick says the gift will support research including into cancer,diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and maternal and infant health.

In recognition of the gift, the hospital’s research institute will be re-named the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute which is already ranked among the top ten medical research institutes in the world.

The Mount Sinai Hospital fund raising drive has set a goal of $50 million dollars.
