The Ontario New Democrats say they have new information about the McGuinty administration’s decision to delete emails and other documents related to the cancelled gas plants in Oakville and Mississauga.
NDP Energy critic Peter Tabuns will hold a news conference at 10:00 this morning to explain the new information.
Tabuns was very critical of testimony yesterday by Dalton McGuinty’s former Chief of Staff. Chris Morley told the committee investigating the gas plant scandal that the Public Service rule book lists dozens of cases where emails should be deleted. But Tabuns says there’s a big difference between deleting an email about going out for coffee and one that details a decision to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to move a gas plant for political reasons.
