Many baby boomer parents are paying the price of the 14.2 per cent youth unemployment rate.
New research from T-D Canada Trust suggests zoomers are having to step in and help their grown, unemployed children with everything from free room and board to paying off their credit cards and helping them buy a car or a computer.
The report, based on a survey by Environics Research found that 19 per cent of boomers said they would consider putting their own financial security in jeopardy to help out their adult children.
