Hi, I’m Gene Stevens with a look ahead to the next ‘Vintage Favourites’ this Sunday afternoon.

It’s the ‘vintage year – 1967’…Canada’s Centennial and ‘Expo ’67’, ‘the summer of love’ and ‘the summer of Sgt.Pepper’; hippies in Yorkville, and thousands hitch-hiking to San Francisco – some with ‘flowers in their hair’!

…the last time the Leafs won the Stanley Cup in the last season of the 6-team NHL, Muhammed Ali was stripped of his heavyweight title for refusing to serve in Viet Nam, Motor City burned, and the ‘6-day war’ transformed the middle-east.
The news, sports and entertainment highlights of 1967 – plus an 80th anniversary celebration of Buddy Holly’s birth and a labour day musical salute to the Canadian worker. All on ‘Vintage Favourites’ this Sunday at 2, from Zoomer Radio!
