PART ONE – THE LEGEND OF OZ
Richard welcomes the Special Guest who will be at OZCON2018the niece of the beloved Scarecrow. She will give a behind the scenes account of the many antics on set, How the film became a Dynasty and how her uncle helped her recover from a life threatening diagnosis of thyroid cancer.

GUEST: CHRISTIANNA RICKARD grew up in Los Angeles in a large family of artistic people which included her uncle, the Scarecrow, Ray Bolger.

Chris was close to her family and helped care for them in their final days. Her memories inspired her book, A Legend in Straw,which reveals the secrets she learned from her uncle.

Chris now lives in Texas where she is working with other women to develop new styles of leadership for a challenging world. She has attended numerous Oz events around the country with her friend Vincent Myrand, who painted the portrait for the cover of her book.

Chris’s B.A. is in Theatre and she holds an Ecumenical Spiritual Director’s certificate. She is an animal lover with five dogs and one beautiful cat.
