INFO – Chest pain is one of the most common reasons for a visit to the ER. The primary concern or most people suffering from chest pain is a heart attack. Given that cardiovascular disease is one of the biggest killers of adults in North America, this is a well-founded fear. It is notable, however, that there are many other causes of chest pain, ranging from the completely benign to the life threatening. During the show we will discuss the different causes of chest pain and how doctors distinguish between them. And we will discuss what to do if you have chest pain and what to expect if you go to the hospital.
