GUEST – Wanda Morris, Executive Director, Dying With Dignity Canada
TOPIC – Death With Dignity Legislation: What Should it Look Like?
INFO – While over 80% of Canadians agree they should have the right to medically assisted dying* there is a range of opinion about what exactly legalized medically assisted dying should look like.
In our Official Position Document, Dying With Dignity lays out our recommendations for federal legislation.
We believe that legislation should provide relief to the sick and dying. Our position is that medically assisted dying should be available to competent adults who are grievously and irremediably ill and suffering unbearably with a terminal illness or incurable physical condition.
