TOPIC – Don’t let the flu derail your New Year’s resolutions
INFO – Many Zoomers trying to embrace New Year’s resolutions might have hit an early roadblock. As you know, thousands of Canadians celebrated the holiday season managing a flu strain that’s spreading across the country earlier than in past years. The Public Health Agency of Canada has reported an increase in localized influenza activity.1 According to Health Canada, there were almost 3,500 cases of flu in Canada as of Dec. 15. By the same time in 2011, there were only 182 cases.
Jean-Yves Dionne is a pharmacist and natural health expert. Fully bilingual, he’s a regular lecturer at Université de Montréal and at Université Laval. He’s authored several books on natural health products both in French and English. In 1999 he co-authored the “Herbs: Everyday Reference for Health Professionals” published by the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
