Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in Ottawa meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. There are lots of crucial files on the table: the new trade deal that has not been signed, and the two Canadians being held in China because Canada arrested Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou at the Americans’ behest. The overarching question: How is our government doing managing the all-important relationship with the US?
