Conservative MP Peter Kent opened a meeting in the Commons ethics committee yesterday to push for another investigation into the SNC-Lavalin scandal. The Opposition keeps pressing to have former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould and former Treasury Board President Jane Philpott tell their stories with no restrictions. Kent also made an accusation of criminality that someone from the Prime Minister’s Office, or someone recently with the PMO leaked a story that Justin Trudeau and Wilson-Raybould butted heads over a Chief Justice appointment. Sources say Trudeau turned down her recommendation but has declined to comment on the report, while Wilson-Raybould yesterday said that there was no conflict between Trudeau and herself. Libby speaks with Conservative MPs Pierre Poiliviere, Peter Kent, and NDP MP Brian Masse.
