The Ford Progressive Conservatives may be taking aim at the province’s 14 local health integration networks known as LHINs. The report says the provincial government is looking at dissolving the LHINs and replacing them with no more than five regional oversight bodies that would monitor spending by hospitals and long term care homes. Libby speaks with Jane Meadus, a lawyer for the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, the President of the Ontario Medical Association, Dr. Nadia Alam and Dr. Kulvinder Gill, President of Concerned Ontario Doctors.
