Not everyone is happy with changes affecting Toronto transit riders this New Year.
After almost 40 years, the Metro pass is being discontinued and replaced with new Presto cards. But, there are still some glitches with the Presto system and commuters are taking to social media complaining that the Presto system is difficult to figure out. The Canadians Civil Liberties Association is raising privacy concerns over Presto because it can track travel history. Libby speaks with TTC Acting Manager of Customer Communications Heather Brown and Brenda McPhail, Director of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association’s privacy, surveillance and technology project.
