It’s been two years since Vision Zero was announced by Mayor John Tory, but sadly there have been a total of 93 pedestrians or cyclists killed on Toronto’s streets. The goal of Vision Zero? to reduce traffic deaths to zero by 2021, but the rate of pedestrian and cyclist deaths hasn’t dropped, in fact this year so far, 21 cyclists or pedestrians have been killed on city streets, exceeding the number killed by this date in 2017 and 2016. Libby turned to the experts to find out what can be done to improve this critical situation and spoke with Lawyer and Road Safety Advocate, Albert Koehl (cole), the Councillor for Ward 30 Toronto-Danforth Paula Fletcher as well as Constable Clint Stibbe of Toronto Traffic Services
