The new gender neutral “O Canada” will be sung publicly for the first time at the upcoming South Korean Olympics when Canadians win gold after Senators voted to approve a change endorsed by MPs in the House of Commons in 2016. The change alters the line “in all they sons command” to “in all of us command”. We spoke with Anthony Wilson-Smith, CEO at Historica Canada and the Senator who made the change happen last week Frances Lankin.
