Over the weekend the turmoil continued for the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party. Last night, Rick Dykstra announced on his twitter account, he is stepping aside as PC Party President after two years in the position. Dykstra did not explain why he’s resigning, but stepped down on the same night MacLean’s published a story alleging his connection to the sexual assault of a young Federal Conservative staffer following a 2014 party in Ottawa when Dykstra was an MP. Dykstra’s resignation also comes following Patrick Brown’s Thursday morning resignation as PC Party leader in the midst of sexual misconduct allegations against him when he was a Barrie MP.  Also this morning, we are learning the internal database of the PC Party was hacked before Christmas. The party has released a statement saying no data was stolen and additional security measures were immediately implemented. And we’ve got even more PC news, Doug Ford announced today he will be running for leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party. We spoke with Political Strategist Mike Van Soelen and Kevin Gaudet, a conservative activist from Brightpoint Strategy.
