A significant anomaly in our cancer care system is hurting patients. That’s why advocates, politicians and patients are preparing to go to Queen’s Park to demand that the government cover chemotherapy drugs that come in pill form. The way things stand now, if you need chemo that is delivered intravenously in a hospital, it’s covered, but if you’re lucky enough to need treatment that you can take at home in pill form, you have to pay and the cost can be huge. We speak with Robin Markowitz, CEO Lymphoma Canada and Marianne Scott , who is a caregiver to her husband Paul.
